sustainability
Brandsdal Group has the opportunity to influence the circumstances around us and within the company for the better. We are continuously working to reduce our carbon footprint and further develop a sustainable value chain throughout the company.
We want to make it easier for you, the consumer, to make sustainable and environmentally conscious choices and at the same time contribute to the proper handling of cosmetic waste and packaging, so that the overall burden is reduced and to ensure that the natural resources already extracted have a longer lifespan.
Packaging and sorting
One of our main focuses is sustainable and circular packaging solutions, proper sorting, and optimized filling in logistics. New, smarter, and more sustainable products for packaging and packaging solutions are constantly being developed, which we consider when looking at optimizing our deliveries to customers who shop with us. Recyclable packaging is not circular and cannot be used again until it is properly sorted for recycling. Therefore, our paper cartons have sorting information, so you can help ensure that the packaging your products came in gets a new life! Maybe BrandsdalGroup´s carton will become a milk carton next time?”
Logistics and distribution
Most packages ordered from BrandsdalGroup.no are sent as postal packages with Posten Norge AS. Posten & Bring aims to only use renewable energy sources in their vehicles and have set ambitious climate goals in their targeted environmental vision. Here we want to showcase some of the measures they are taking to ensure carbon neutral shipping, which is one of the main reasons we chose Posten as a supplier. We are proud to be a collaborating partner with Posten Norge!

Annual climate and environmental reporting
The main part of our purchases is made by large suppliers who do a lot to ensure sustainable development in production, ingredients, packaging, and transportation. Before we enter collaboration with suppliers, we have a needs assessment and assessment of the supplier’s environmental profile.
In addition, all our suppliers must sign our “Supplier Code of Conduct”, which means that requirements are made for production, human rights, working conditions, environment, and business ethics.
The UN has developed 17 main goals that are a global, common work plan to eradicate poverty, combat inequality, and stop climate change by 2030. All goals are important and should be seen in a holistic context to solve global challenges. For an actor like BrandsdalGroup, some goals are more relevant to focus on in terms of the degree to which we as a company can influence.
Here are the goals we have chosen to focus on:
What can we do together?
Source sorting allows us to better care for the environment and to utilize our natural resources better. Source sorting prevents harmful substances and environmental toxins from hazardous waste, for example, to end up off course and burden nature, the environment, people, and animals. By using raw materials again, we limit the extraction of natural resources and ensure that natural resources already extracted have a longer lifespan. When we recycle, we throw away less and reduce the total environmental burden. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something!”
The Aro Project
Brandsdal Group has supported ARC-Kenya in collaboration with SANA-Fondet since 2016.
ARC-Kenya has a program that provides care, education, and medical follow-up to 130 children.
Many families are severely affected by HIV in this area. Children lose their parents and are dependent on care from relatives and other adults. Many needs help to get an education. Through the children’s program, the costs of education are covered. The children also receive medical follow-up, homework help, and courses in practical subjects such as sewing and carpentry. In addition, they receive training in agriculture with their guardians. Most families in this area are farmers. Kenya is a fertile country, and with increased knowledge of agriculture, farmers will be able to better utilize resources.
The children participating in the program are offered vocational training with study programs in sewing, hairdressing, energy (solar cell), and carpentry.
